Jozi to Aliwal North

A great start to the eagerly anticipated road trip, taking in some amazing scenery and out of the way places. The excitement really started after Bloemfontein when we hit the N6 as this was new territory for both Ant and myself. Reddersburg, Smithfield (disapointing), Rouxville and finally Aliwal North a slow, beautiful 8 hours later. Also a lot of stop-and-go sections forcing you to take it easy. A little bit of a battle of the iPods today but my song of the day : It's a beautiful day by The Levellers.

T-3 days and counting.....

Ant and I are finally embarking on our long awaited honeymoon/ anniversary tour of South Africa and the excitement is definitely building. In keeping with most things that we do, very little planning has gone into this trip but for once thats an added bonus - it really is going to be a 'lets see where we end' kind of experience.
